This film is so underrated and overlooked as a Pacino and or Sean Penn film. One of their best.

This scene really inspired the Ken Rosenberg office in GTA vice city .

Jorge Porcel (Sasso) was an Argentine comedian who was famous for his rate B movies. He had a TV show in Argentina similar to The Benny Hill's show.

“Yeah, I know you. You’re Carlito Brigante to the mf max!” 😂 John did such an amazing job in this scene portraying a fan like enthusiasm while still keeping his right hand man in check and treating him almost like a servant all to impress his idol Carlito. John played grimey character so well when he was young.

I saw this in the theater and bought it on DVD and I JUST realized that Carlito telling Kleinfeld about Rolando giving him the $25K is when Kleinfeld decided to lie to the Feds

For me, this is Pacino and Penn's greatest movie and certainly their best performances, just an outstanding movie.
