The fact that all Monika's artwork appears in her original DDLC design instead of her FNF design is a perfect touch. Really emphasizes the fact that she's just... not meant to be here.

Okay but can we talk about how “Baptized in the blood of lambs who couldn’t see the chains that bind them” goes so hard as a villain line? Monika is so convinced that she did the right thing in killing the others that she considers it freeing

References "Keep the summer skies so blue." Is a reference to Doki Doki Blue Skies. "Gazed back from that empty room" Is probably a reference to Monika's Poem "A hole in the wall." "You cared enough to hear my song, your note again." Is a reference to the OST Track "My Song, Your Note" from Doki Doki Plus "To see the darkened puddles spilling from my pen." Is a reference to the line in "Your Reality." speficially the line "The ink flows down into a dark puddle." "Stepped into Heaven's Kingdom, sacrificed what we believed in." Might be a reference to the book "Portrait of Markov." "Baptized in the blood of lambs that couldn't see the chains that bind them." Is probably a reference to the Girls (Sayori, Yuri, and Natsuki) not knowing the true meaning of their world <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrPdv1DoRms&t=183">3:03</a> - This is the CG art from the Side Stories for Monika and Natsuki (Those are the ones that I could find.)

One thing I really like about the lyrics is that the rhymes don't all follow a standard format. It's not just all AABB, or ABAB, or anything like that. It jumps all over the place, switching back and forth, with a good, but very unconventional flow. Exactly like Monika's poems in DDLC. It feels like poetry put to music, rather than lyrics added on top of music.

Once again, Boyfriend’s lyrics never cease to amaze me. The line “Err: Line not found” represents how he’s lost his beloved language of beatboxing thanks to Monika deleting his data. But the fact that he’s still going means he’s trying to find his way back. Even if it’s a fruitless endeavor, he’s still willing to fight back against Monika to be with the one he truly loves once more. Juno really is a lyrical genius with such an amazing understanding of Boyfriend as a character.

I like how almost none of Monika’s lines follow any kind of rhyming pattern. No AABB or ABAB or anything, it’s almost random. It’s like she’s either writing a poem to you or simply talking with you.

Now, since it's canon that BF is not the one singing, just his soundfont being used for the player, we just need a cover of the Player's lyrics for the ultimate Epiphany /hj
