My favorite Dracula reference is when Hol Horse is about to shoot Dio, who then suddenly appears behind him. Hol comments that he somehow managed to do so without disturbing the cobwebs. This is a direct nod to the 1931 film where  Lugosi's Dracula also passes through cobwebs without disturbing them

Horror being an integral aspect to JoJo's is part of the reasons why I adore the Part 3 OVA. It essentially takes Part 3, and keeps the tone of Part 1. I love it so much.

Araki mastered the "copy it but don't make to obvious"

We need to get Viz media to translate that Araki Horror Analysis book.

I heard a rumor that the Pillar-Men were inspired by the Ancient Vampire gods that turned themselves to stone in their hibernation from Anne Rice's "Lestat" and "Queen of the Damned"-books.

It’s true that Araki was watching Twin Peaks at the time — he’s mentioned it himself in Jump’s author notes and in his books — and the show was insanely popular in Japan back then. But in a book he released last year, he said that when he was thinking about what kind of idea would work for Stands that ambush and attack, the image of Morioh actually came to him from Stephen King’s ’Salem’s Lot.

first thought I had when I watched the twin peaks pilot was that it felt so much like a live action jojo's spin off, the way the characters talk especially is what evoked that feeling the most for me. there's 3 episodes left of The Return until I'm done with the series and I can't believe how good it is despite being made 25 years after the original run

Phantom Blood is to Dracula as Super Mario is to Popeye.

I really hope this video introduces more jojo fans to Twin Peaks! Probably the best series ever created, if you love part 4 I highly recommend it

Araki toke such a interesting take on vampires where there not your traditional vampires but more like a evolved species of human like if human had a 100% control over there body without any limitations
