Love how the real estate “gurus” never mention the nightmare tenants that destroy your property or squat and leave you in the hole. Seen it happen so many times.

We paid off a 30 year mortgage in 20 years. Retired at 60. You know what expense we don't have today? We don't pay rent or mortgage. Houses like ours rent for $1,400 a month. That is my property tax for a year! My home was never intended to be an investment, it was and is intended to be my home.
