For an old man, Cruise really look like he's on his 30's and unaged.

"Proving someone wrong is often more satisfying than being right."

I appreciate the fact that the producers didn't feel the need to destroy his legacy by tearing him down just so they could paint him as a burnt out dinosaur that needs to be taught how wrong he is by a new generation. He avoided the modern Hollywood treatment and it was a huge success. Strange how that goes.

That's the most stern "who said that" that I have ever seen. 😂

I love the part where Maverick says 2:15 and Hangman is like "is this guy for real?", then afterward he's like "damn, he IS for real!"

In case anyone is wondering Mach 10.3 is 7,630 miles per hour. Also High Hypersonic is a terminology reserved for speeds 10-25 mach.

6:08 just a casual reminder from Maverick that he IS that guy and can put his money where his mouth is; the junior pilots are all impressed of course, but the older officers who knew Maverick from before are like "ok so he definitely didn't lose his edge got it"
Also Hangman like damn bro okay i see you

As corny as the movie is (by design), I loved it. There is literally no poor Tom Cruise movie. Man's an acting genius.

“You said to create a team sir, and there’s your team” followed by the smuggest smile from Tom cruise ever is too fitting 😂
