  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymG6iSBO274&amp;t=1898">31:38</a> That&apos;s an over-pressure valve. &nbsp;It&apos;s meant to be open most of the time to allow fresh air to come in. &nbsp;But during a nuclear blast, the pressure from the explosion would come into the bunker and squish everyone inside. &nbsp;This valve is designed to prevent that. &nbsp;If a blast wave hits the valve, it will swing in and seal, preventing any more pressure from coming into the bunker.

  By the looks of that battery and cables, terminals and lack of dust compared to things around, this place is maintained to some degree and could well be fully functional.

  The room where you found the shadows of paintings and photos on the walls was caused by sunlight. The paint fades and the a pictures block sunlight from hitting the walls behind them. Before you entered the fallout shelter, there was an over pressure blast valve on that wall up high. If an atomic blast occurs creates a huge pressure wave. It hits the blast valve and it closes to seal up the fallout shelter. The tunnel you found near the end of the video was your escape tunnel. If the door entering the fallout shelter becomes blocked, then the tunnel &nbsp;is your emergency way out.
