  Always great classic M-B content! Drove the last of the 129's, a Silver Arrow limited edition. Loved the pano roof, not a big fan of the lower blocky dash which was improved for knees in R230. Unfortunately, the newer model had reduced valve count and hp, lost a lot of those fine details like the quality aircraft metal grill you observed. As they age well past a quarter century, details like roof plastics drying out a real pain. With iffy replacement parts to replace them. I look at these as the last of the classic Benz run forevers. R230 very problematic, sold them at M-B and had LOTS of irate customers. When they greatlly reduced supplier count like Detroit in that era, sooooooo many issues that were not there previously.

  I have the last iteration of the R129, exactly like this one without the sports package. It was specified for the German Market. Sports Package seems much more US driven. I like the lines on my with the new upgrades. Feels unique. And with the pano roof ofc. Fantastic car

  I was in middle school when these cars were new and in all the magazines.  I thought they looked so awesome, way better than the R107s that had been around since the 70s!

  I LOVE that it has the original stereo!  So many of these got awful, cheap aftermarket stereos put in them

  As soon as I get my finances straight, I’ve got a R129 SL600 Sport 1 with pano roof with 128K. She needs a tune up!

  Very nice presentation and details of this car! Thank you. Just purchased a 2000 and loving it but it has a few little issues I am enjoying fixing.
