Problem is in the item used in those fast food chains and cross contamination.<br>For example oil, sometimes high temperature oil contents pork fat.

Air Pacific ( now renamed Fiji Airways) has been serving Halal Food since the 1980s. Muslim community in Fiji give great importance to the availability of Halal food. Fiji Muslim League is the authorizing body in Fiji ensuring that.

I don't know about america and canada but in London there's no excuse there is plenty halaal eating outlets so why take a chance eating from non Muslims?
