This was exactly what I needed. I just got rejected from the pre college and broke my 6 month practicing streak since Wednesday in self pity, but truly just seeing you living your best life in my dream made me pick up my flute again. I'm going to work hard and see you there next year 😁

Dang. The amounts of dedication, effort, perseverance, and sheer talent are remarkable. It’s awesome to see your daily routine and all that you do and put into your studies. Really inspiring!

I NEEEED an in depth Reed making video. I always love to see how other oboists make their reeds. I would also love to see if there’s anything you’re doing that I could add to my process

Spencer, I don't know how I found this video. But I am so glad I did. My younger brother died this summer in a tragic accident - before that though he played bassoon and wrote his own compositions. He dreamed about going to Berklee and being a professional musician. I myself went to music school for undergrad and loved seeing your schedule and your passion during a productive week. It seems like you have such a great friend group and balance in your life. I wish you all the success in the future - at Julliard pursuing a degree, but also in life! Thank you for sharing.

i never knew you had to prepare reeds like that, it reminds me of ballerinas customising their pointe shoes if that makes sense
