  Я работал на Икарус 280- "гармошке". Зимой закачивали антифриз в пневмосистему тормозов и привода дверей салона. Но замерзали узлы пневмосисистемы под полом, где их забрызгивало водой, грязью. Сегодня пневмосистема автобусов находится под потолком в коробах в салоне. В старых троллейбусах Шкода 14 ТР, в салоне стояли бачки со смесью этилового спирта и глицерина. Зимой в салоне троллейбуса всегда пахло спиртом. Работал и на таких, заходил в салон пассажиров и качал помпой из бачка антифриз в пневмосистему. Этиловый спирт покупали для того, чтобы работяги в ремзоне троллейбусного парка не траванулись при злоупотреблении вовнутрь. Денатурат покупать для антифриза пневмосистемы запретил директор!

  No one uses only water anymore, its always a mixture of distilled water and glycol.  That mixture does not freeze, but the engine oil does. So, it's shut down the engine and somehow keep the oil warm.  Another issue will be the starting batteries, how to keep them warm? Batteries don't like freezing temperatures. The best option will be to just keep the engines running.
