  It never ceases to amaze me how these huge ‘containers’ take to the air and travel. Years ago in the evening we would sit in our Detroit backyard and watch plane after plane fly over on their way to DTW. I remember the observation deck at the airport that people could go to and watch landings and takeoffs. It was a destination for families and aviation enthusiasts. For a few years I lived in Canton and still watched the sky with planes coming and going in every direction. And vividly remember when the skies were empty and silent one September. I truly admire all who work in this industry. I cannot even comprehend the knowledge of pilots just looking at the instrumentation of a cockpit. Now, living up north, the sky is empty 99% of the time. Every once in a while I can hear an engine and like a little kid head outside to look for its origin. I love it when one of the craft from Graylings National Guard air base flies over or way off in the distance the vapor trails of jets are visible. I hope my wonder never ceases.

  That nice looking golf course on the lower right at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXMnTY55dCY&amp;t=460">7:40</a> is Oakland Hills Country club where the European team destroyed the US team in the &nbsp;2004 Ryder Cup under captain Bernhard Langer. I live in the Detroit area. Thank you for posting.

  I’ve flown this route many times on your 330. &nbsp; Never had the opportunity on the 340 or 747-4. &nbsp; Also enjoy seeing the DTW departures over my home in Canada.

  I&apos;m trying to listen to them speaking German. My dad was in the army and lived there twice, first in Mannheim and the second time in Wildflecken. Never flew Lufthansa but made several flights from DTW to Frankfurt. Nice landing
