I was at this. I'd not heard it before so didn't know what to expect. The build up is awesome and I can still remember the hairs on my arms standing up when it kicked right in.

Whenever I hear or see this I am always brought to the verge of tears as I vividly recall the TV series in 1985 it was compelling viewing with such wonderful actors sadly most who are now no longer with us. An incredible series of its time and still stands the test against anything today . Thankyou for this tremendous piece of artistry actors composer and Eric. ❤

Eric Clapton has never shown the madness within himself.
Others are just busy showing it off.
But he is the one who understands the true madness and goes beyond it. He could control it. Always.

The original "Edge of Darkness" series was truly amazing, as is this theme song.

One of my favourite TV series ever, with one of my favourite pieces of music as its soundtrack. Thanks for posting this. I have the 12" which has, if I remember correctly 6 variations on it. All equally beautiful and haunting.

It's pieces like this that for me make him the GOAT. IMO no guitarists is as multi talented as Clapton is. He can do it all.
