The imagineers’ has to be the most frustrating job in the world.
All those huge, beautiful and impressive ideas watered down to just an insignificant fraction of their awesomeness.

The Paris Indiana Jones ride was so bad and so rough that a lot of people called it “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Broken Skull”

Gotta say, I would rather have an entire land of Indiana Jones than Star Wars after learning about what could've been.

A Temple of Doom-style mine car ride would have been amazing.

I did Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril just a few months ago and it was extremely uncomfortable and really didn't make any connections to Indiana Jones. It really seemed like they just stuck the name on the attraction for "name" value.

My wife and I were lucky enough to take part in the Indiana Jones stunt show in 2004.

"Blue Sky Imagineering" must've changed to "Blue Screen Imagineering"

No mention of Tokyo DisneySea? That park has an Indiana Jones land with a tweaked version of the Disneyland Indiana Jones ride themed to The Crystal Skull, and a copy of The Temple of Peril called "Raging Spirits".

Indiana Jones and The Crystal Skull is better than the Disneyland version, IMO, as it has some better special effects and the line queue is even more interesting and well-themed than Disneyland, although the general theming and track layouts are identical.

Raging Spirits is a direct copy of The Temple of Peril, and while it is very short, I did think the theming was pretty good, and it looks incredible at night with all of the lights on (the loop dives into a pit of smoky lava). It also has a neat fountain in front with water pouring down the temple steps and fire running across the water.

The rest of the land is incredibly well-themed with restaurants and scenery to explore. It also felt like there was still quite a bit of room to add onto that area in the future, so maybe the Oriental Land Company's larger park budgets could make the full Indiana Jones land a reality in the future?

Makes me realize that current Disney has the potential to make a bigger whumdinger of a ride. That's where I want their money to go.
