  I watched this again today (5 months later) and just love the F<a href="https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/m">#m</a> and Bm ideas. I get stuck on going to the III, the VI and VII to just play major pentatonics. Now I can add the ii and the v! More positions, shapes, patterns, more ways of thinking. Love it.

  I&apos;ve been fortunate enough to have a good ear, and have gotten by playing bass for years based on my ear and by feel. But it felt like I kind of hit a wall. I gotta tell you, this is helping me break out of the box I&apos;ve been stuck in.

  Side note - the Bass Faces are epic, i came up under the soicism of the old school reggae bassists, so this is refreshing, like the late Anthony Jackson too, you guys are so animated and expressive !

  Ive never considered using a pentatonic that wasnt corresponding to the root of the song...its funny because im aware of what modes are so the idea of using a particular mode over a key isnt unheard of. Thank you for making this video its an eye opener and I have yet another tool to use in my musical toolbox!

  What a great video ! And the timing, ive recently been obsessed with the sound of the F# on my basses. On the E string it&apos;s massive but has a ppwerful growl. Higher up, ots being colors that have a really unique kind of sound !
