  I think for me one of the most informative moments of the Joker in The Dark Knight was when he did a whole speech about how people are schemers with their schemes and how that was bad and how he was the antidote to that, while literally being mid-scheme himself.

  I haven&apos;t seen either of these movies and I gotta say, that clip with Arthur&apos;s ex friend on the witness stand broke my heart. It felt very real. Two disabled people being each others&apos; only source of friendship in a world that is hostile to them for their disabilities. The pain, isolation, and sense of betrayal that come with that friendship ending in trauma and selfishness. The fact that he didn&apos;t just bounce back from witnessing a brutal murder nor become a grizzled superhero, but rather became a haunted shut-in who struggles to sleep at night or support himself like so many real life people who witness deadly violence. A rare instance of a little person actor getting to play a fully realized person. It&apos;s probably because I&apos;m disabled myself but I cannot imagine glossing over that plot thread.

  I recently heard someone say that we shouldn&apos;t judge people when they&apos;re desperate and at their lowest. We should judge them by what they choose to do when they are comfortable, when all their own needs are met. Do they choose to help others? Or do they choose to selfishly hoard resources and make life worse for everyone else

  While Im very much an antifan of the joker duology, the performance from Gary Puddles actor Leigh Gill during that court scene legit makes me want him to get a supporting actor nomination cause it made my heart hurt
