  Rome didn’t deploy 15,000 legionaries and build a colossal siege ramp up a mountain because 960 people were a threat. They did it as an imperial billboard to every single province: 'There is no mountain high enough, no desert harsh enough, and no fortress secure enough to escape Roman vengeance.

  I've been to the top of Masada. I saw the Roman ramp. Their camp outlines below. The Dead Sea in the distance. The storeroom outlines and even a mosaic floor in one room. What a lesson of hostory. If you ever are in Israel you must see this place, it's worth going there. Todau, there's a cable car that will take you to the top so getting to the top of Masada is no problem. I am both lucky and proud to have been able to go there. Enjoy it someday for yourselves...

  Visited Masada in 2022. It was an awesome experience. Including the long ride up the mountain. Scary. Would love to visit it again. Rooms and water baths were in tact along with different floors and stairs. awesome

  I visited the Masada in 1995. It was an experience standing  in the same place many chose to die. God help us 🙏
