  Even before I watched the clip, I knew the Armenian guy would say &quot;Turkish is like arabic&quot; :) even though Armenian itself sounds more like a Middle eastern language.

  I am an Arab and I say that what the Armenian young man said is incorrect. There is no similarity or connection between the Arabic and Turkish languages. Yes, there is some overlap in some words, but neither of us understands the other, neither in terms of pronunciation nor sounds.

  Turkish is not Semitic. so, it is not Arabic. It is Altaic.

  Greek, Turkish and Arabic are entirely unrelated to each other. &nbsp;Greek is a west branch Indoeuropean language, Turkish is Uralo-Altaic and Arabic is Semitic. They also sound completely different and as a Greek I would never confuse a Turkish speaking person with an Arabic speaking one, although I don&apos;t speak either of two. A few borrowed words make no difference.

  lol Arabic is a semitic language Turkish is altaic. There is literally no connection in between them except the borrowed words

  I live in an Arab country. Recently, while chatting with some friends, an Arab person asked, &quot;What language are you speaking? It sounds like Japanese.&quot;<br><br>Others have said similar things before.<br><br>I think it&apos;s completely illogical to say that Turkish sounds like Arabic.<br><br>In my opinion, that comment was biased, sarcastic, and said on purpose.

  Since Armenians talk more from the throat, as a Turk I always thought Armenian sounded like Arabic. And, now the Armenian dude says the same for Turkish. How people perceive languanges can be really different i guess.

  The subtitles are off in a lot of places. The guy keeps saying Armenia but the subtitles say Romania.
