Antes das primeiras cidades: Como a humanidade vivia há 10.000 anos atrás | Documentário Completo

A woman was buried 12,000 years ago with her hand resting on a puppy. She couldn't write. She didn't know the wheel. But she knew that animal deserved to be remembered. And somewhere in what is now the Middle East, a people built the first cemeteries in history even before they learned to plant. The world before cities lasted tens of thousands of years. And almost no one knows it. This documentary delves into the 10,000 years that preceded the first cities: who these human beings were, what they knew, how they lived, what they lost, and why the civilization we know today was only possible because of them—and a planet that, for a geological moment, decided to calm down. 🧭 In this video you will discover: • Why hunters in the Kalahari practiced something that an anthropologist seriously called science — without a laboratory, without publication • What the earliest cemeteries in history reveal about the origin of the idea of property, before any fences or deeds existed • How a volcanic rock traveled over a thousand kilometers without anyone, at any point along the way, knowing of the volcano's existence • Why the first farmers were shorter, had worse teeth, and died younger than their hunter-gatherer ancestors • What an entire continent submerged in the North Sea has to do with stories that Australian Aboriginal peoples still tell today • How an abrupt climatic event, about 13,000 years ago, may have pushed humanity to invent agriculture not by choice, but out of desperation • What a 9,000-year-old settlement in present-day Pakistan reveals about the first dentists in history — and how all this is connected to the Indus Valley civilization • Why stored grain was, at the same time, the invention that saved the species from famine and invented inequality • How the first proper name recorded in human history belonged not to a king or a warrior, but to a barley counter ⏱️ CHAPTERS 0:00 Opening 1:15 When the Landscape Became a Map 7:28 When the Dead Anchored the World 15:20 Things That Traveled More Than People 21:44 A Community Knows a Lot 27:21 When We Started Changing the World 32:27 The Earth That Changed Before Us 38:22 Younger Dryas: The Last Scare 44:08 The First Allies 50:13 The Invisible Invention 57:49The Invisible Ideas 📚 MAIN SOURCES: • Louis Liebenberg — The Art of Tracking: The Origin of Science (1990, David Philip Publishers) — on the tracking knowledge of the San hunters of the Kalahari • Mark Plotkin — ethnobotanical research with Wayana and Tirió peoples on the Brazil-Suriname border, published throughout the 1990s; also Tales of a Shaman's Apprentice (1993, Viking) • Leore Grosman et al. — article on the Hilazon Tachtit site and the Natufian shaman's burial, published in PNAS (Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences), 2008 • Colin Renfrew — studies on obsidian dispersal and the distance-fall model, developed from the 1970s onwards, University of Cambridge • Marcel Mauss — Essai sur le Don (1925); Brazilian edition: Essay on the Gift • Clark Spencer Larsen — comparative paleopathological research on the transition to agriculture, including Bioarchaeology (1997, Cambridge University Press) • Eduardo Góes Neves — research on Amazonian archaeology and Amazonian Dark Earth, Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology of USP 🔔 Subscribe to 1Documentário and activate the bell so you don't miss the next documentaries.
