  Okay let&apos;s be honest. Being arrested and thrown out of Russia unceremoniously is the BEST way to end a Soviet adventure. It&apos;s like the ending of Monty Python&apos;s Holy Grail. Sometimes the best adventures get spoiled by the authorities in the end.

  It made me sad to see how few women were out walking around Kabul. I can’t imagine what it’s like to have to live your life locked in a compound or completely covered from head to toe.
