I don't understand why this album wasn't more popular or why they never played these songs live, in later years.

Magnificent work on recapturing the essence of what the guys were trying to nail back in 82/83. Also gives a pretty good concept of how mutt lange would've managed brian's slight crisp that was starting on his early AC/DC voice before the more noticeable rasp that he gains during the 1984 fly on the wall sessions in Switzerland. I specifically notice a great improvement on the starting vocals on deep in the hole. Ten solid stars to you for your excellent work recrafting and rebalancing the harmonics and shifts of this incredibly underrated album (which I personally consider to be one of their best). Their label and the synth era of 83-88 did them an unfair justice as they continued on their grind of comending and avenging their fallon brother (Bon). Would love to hear this treatment also brought to the fly on the wall album if you intend on doing so in the near future I will keep my ears on listen. Cheers!

This is undoubtedly the 80s album that has aged the best, precisely because of that rather raw production which has stood the test of time without sounding dated today. Due to the rapid evolution of metal between 1980 and 1983, the album unfortunately seemed outdated the moment it was released. Yet, alongside *Back in Black*, it is certainly the one I listen to most from the Johnson era.
