David Gilmour, who was the guitar player for Pink Floyd said, "The Beatles were not a band, they were a miracle. The Beatles, who only recorded for 6 years, from 1963 to 1969, have sold close to 800-million albums. In second place is Michael Jackson with 250-million albums. The Beatles sold 1.6 Billion singles. On April 4, 1964, The Beatles held the top 5 spots on Billboard's Top 40. No one has done it since and it will likely never happen again. In Dec. 2023, The Beatles released the song, "Now and Then" and once again hit #1.

You guys do a good job of actually understanding the limitations of the day and where they were starting from.  Not every song is awesome, but the body of work and the evolution over a short period of time is insane.

‘Rubber Soul’ was released at the same time as the ‘We Can Work it Out’ and ‘Day Tripper’ hit singles, and only five months after their ‘Help!’ Album.  1965 was a great Beatles year.

"The Beatles" consistently set the bar so high that no one else could even approach it.

the greatest 2 to 3 minute band. You hear the song and it just sticks with you. They brought classical and rock together and made it unique and memorable.

Yeah this is the one.  Taking into account the year this was made, the songwiritng and production quality is jaw-dropping.  It defined what came after for the rest of the century.  High art by The Beatles.
