I have been lucky enough to have visited a number of countries now but always tell people about Croatia...it is like a jewel of the Adriatic, gorgeous, relaxed, friendly just beautiful and only 2hrs fomfrom England 😊 I can honestly say the only thing I am not partial to is truffles😮 they like their truffles😊 Oh and I always learn the basics of languages, it's just polite😊 peace, love n harmony from Manchester 🐝🇬🇧

The funniest thing I noticed in Croatia, if only you say "Dobar dan" (good day) or "Hvala" (thank you) you instantly make new friends. They really appreciate it if you put in a little effort

I worked at a restaurant in Croatia and an unwritten rule was to ask the guest one time if everything was fine after the main food was served. Not too pushy and not too passive. That way they can comment the food and ask for things like another drink etc

It is all almost the same as in Poland. Our customs are so alike. Greetings from Wroclaw!

Yeah, waiting in lines in front of the restaurant is not a Croatian thing, and as a Croatian, I'd never do that anywhere else. I live in Norway as of recently, and they do that around here. It may have to do something with pride or whatever, but I ain't standing in no line for food. I'll just move on somewhere else. <br>Very accurate information, though I'm sure that in the continental part of Croatia, up north and east, you'll get water for free..

I loved being in Croatia 2 weeks ago and being left alone while eating a meal. In the US, you have to nail down your plate to the table to avoid it being prematurely taken away. I feel rushed and it's extremely rude.

As a Brit, everything you explained is pretty much typical of dining out in much of the UK and many European countries. <br>Lovely video. Thank you. ❤

The tipping advice is so spot on. I felt so embarrassed when I found myself at a place that had provided excellent service and I was with no cash left to tip them. ALWAYS carry cash in small denominations.

Wife ordered fish one time in a restaurant there, and of course as you say, it came with the bones, the eyes, the fins, the works!<br>Freaked her out.<br>"I don't want to eat the fish with her eyes looking at me!"<br>Had to get the waiter to remove the head, and the fins.<br>He couldn't it believe that someone would want the head, and the fins removed.<br>The look of horror on his face!<br>HAHA!<br>Nick in Montreal.
