I did just fine until age 70/71 and then started feeling symptoms and "old" despite being a good weight, active etc.  Then vulvar symptoms came on very fast - pain, dryness, etc.   Now on vaginal estrogen twice weekly application.  I think I went into menopause around age 55.  Two gynaecologists say it's GSM (and a biopsy confirmed Lichen Simplex Chronicus - a form of eczema).  Getting old is not for wimps as they say, but at least we have some tools now.

The idea of being in a relationship as an evolutionary process is simply brilliant. Hits hard in the mind. Things are changing and change is hard. Be flexible or break.

One of the most brilliant conversations I’ve listened to.  Trever, hats off to you for sitting on the other side of the conversation asking vital questions around this very important transition period in women’s life. All men should listen to this podcast as from what I’m experiencing/seeing/hearing is men not only have no bloody idea about what their women do thru but they’re either scared or spooked about the entire ‘menopause’ topic.

Females are taught when young girls about the change that will happen, getting their period, and receive limited, if any, sex ed. We aren't taught about perimenopause and certainly not menopause. Why would men know, let alone learn, how to support their partners through it? Women are being educated and empowered now, and women's health is hopefully changing for the better. How wonderful you both have come together an are helping men to come along side women, learn and support us. This will help so many couples. Thank you, keep going!!

SAY IT LOUDER CROWDER!!!!❤️❤️❤️ I taught my son...with much objection to him, but I told him learn this now and your future wife will love you more for it!!!! I was the Mom driving to the store and send him in without me to get my feminine hygiene products to help educate and get comfortable with.  This is a life skill for men! ❤

I’ve always had anxiety, but now driving… ugh ! I used to blast heavy metal in my car, now I’m doing yoga breath while listening to yoga music when driving, & I go around, & use the backroads , because I don’t wanna have a panic attack while driving.

This journey I'm finding is not concrete or 100% predictable. I am definitely going through perimenopause: I am learning discernment and to not spend my valuable limited  energy on nonsense and people who don't reciprocate. I realize how much of a people pleaser I was and hoe I put out without people reciprocating. Now, I'm happy to step back and listen to my wisdom. I love your deep thoughtful mature conversation/podcast.
