The intensity in the silences between the notes of the last minute of the prelude from Rachmaninoff, starting at 1:35:00, are simply extraordinary. What a way to conclude such an incredible concert, what a talent!

I still remember hearing this beautiful concert full of deep emotions played by one of the best pianists of all time live. Even to this day when i look back at it i still have goosebumps. I literally just couldn´t hold tears while listening to this (especially during the chopin polonaise). I hadn´t experienced such a crazy rollercoaster of emotions ever before. This guy is just a true legend I can´t even express myself using words... Bravo

What a pleasure to get to see and hear this concert by Mr. Kissing! He is a gift from the Universe, as someone else said in these comments. When I first saw him perform when he was still a very young man, I wondered if he would do well since his way of playing, at times, looked tense and tight. When I closed my eyes, I couldn't hear, what appeared to be tense, was not in his playing. He continued to put himself among the Great Pianists of his generation. He performed the Lutoslawski's Variations on the fanous 24th Caprice for Violin by Paganini, along side one of the greatest pianists of her and other's generations, Martha Argerich. The 2 piano version of this work is nearly impossible to play but Argerich and Kissin blows the roof off, with their individual unbelievable techniques combined to bring a truly amazing performance of the Variations that is nearly flawless and shows those two pianists to be so well paired with jaw dropping speed and bravura rendition that can't be touched by anyone else - a truly amazing experience to hear! Everyone who ranked him in the field of the most impressive pianists of all time is absolutely correct! A real treasure!
