This is definitely something everyone should do, and not just once!!. We bought a van thinking all the weights were fine. Just happened to go to a Caravan Qld/vansafe masterclass in Kingaroy. The weights were soooo wrong and we hadn't even put anything in yet. We were more than 100kg overweight on the towball and we would have been overweight/illegal if we had even added water!!! The van had to go back to the manufacturer, who we won't ever recommend or buy from again. They had to add a second toolbox on the rear, move tanks around etc to get it compliant then had to change the compliance plate with the new figures. Terrible.<br><br>So glad you're travelling safe. 🌻🇭🇲

Removing weight is the only option. Perhaps taking note of the stuff you're not using regularly and shed it . The outdoor kitchen (first to go) is on the left hand side which is the heavier side of the van. We all take too much stuff. Reducing your gross weight will save you heaps down the track on fuel, tyres and maintenance. Safe travelling, there's soooo much to see.
