  I'm an engineer on the F-15EX, we're currently redesigning the entire center fuselage (sheet metal to MBD machinings). It will essentially be a modern aircraft when done. The only thing that is 40+ years old is the moldline.

  Love this beast, anyone saying buy more F-35’s instead is missing the point. You don’t need an F-35 for everything, It’s a 20,000+ Hr airframe, and can relieve F-35’s from basic things like CAP, base defense, work done in controlled airspace. Plus it’s payload is insane at 30,000 pounds, it can carry things the F-35, including long range hypersonic weapons like ARRW, which will be very useful in the Pacific. That’s a 1000 mile precision weapon. It can get higher, and is also designed for BMD. It’s not just a bomb truck. It’s also CCA capable. It saves F-35 Air frames and prolongs their life, and adds extra capabilities to the F-35 when working in Tandem. Just like the Growler compliments the F-35 and the two work well together.

  It’s a smart move putting the enhanced Eagles into service. Not everything needs to be stealth, sometimes just good ole fashioned brute force does the trick. The payload capability alone is impressive on the new Eagle.

  I would love to see the F15EX in Canada over any other plane. The F15, in all its varaints, has always been an amazing plane.

  I'd love to see them find a way to keep all the lines open - f-15, f-16, f-18.   In a potential conflict with a near peer adversary we will need as many open production lines as possible,  The newest versions of all 3 of these aircraft STILL out class a large percentage of all fighters being used right now.

  The F15 has been my Absolute favorite US military jet since I saw a demo flight in 1985. The F15 kicked the F4 out of Keflavik Iceland, and the AF put on a show for us. I haven't found another military jet as inspiring since. BTW...I was in the Navy. 😂😂😂 After 10 years, I got out of the Navy and went in to the Airforce reserve 😂.  You guys Rock!
