My favorite card story is with my mom. My parents divorced in 1996 and we were completely broke. She knew how much I loved collecting cards. 1996 also saw the release of 1996 leaf signature baseball, where there was an autographed card in each pack. It was the first time that an autographed card would be in each pack. My LCS had them at the time for $25 per pack and that made it hard to afford them. She scrimped and saved as much as she could to buy me a pack. My favorite player at the time was, and still is Will Clark. She bought me a pack for my birthday and I opened it and to my surprise, the autograph was none other than Will Clark. I will remember this story for the rest of my life.

Why isn't this on Netflix? You're show is as good if not better than KING OF COLLECTIBLES: THE GOLDIN TOUCH

Really sorry about your parents. No matter how long someone lives...it’s just never enough time. 😢

Ty, at 26:34 the guy mentions the 1980-81 Michel Goulet rookie and that it was scratched off. It isn’t, what he has is the O pee Chee version because the player position is in French and English. The Topps versions had a black box scratch off to reveal the players name but the O pee Chee version did not and thus in mint condition. It’s always good to check the backs of vintage hockey cards after 1969 to see if they are bilingual and printed in Canada, if they are they are O Pee Chee.

When 1970 Topps baseball was released, I was 9 years old. For Easter that spring instead of Easter eggs my Mom hid packs of ‘70 Topps around the house. I still have all of them.

Tell him thank you for sharing his story of his Mom & Dad and for showing the vulnerability and how yhe pain of losing someone who meant so much to you really never goes away...BUT, he finished that story with a smile on his face when he was reminded of the time he spent with them watching sports and discussing the players of the times with his parents. Loved it, I broke down as it made me think of my parents which I recently lost...Fantastic show, good job guys

Ty, you’re a good man. The Vets I work with (who battle PTSD), and I, LOVE your videos! Once again, thank you for helping me help them. I’m just trying to bring them some “downtime” and introducing them to the hobby, has worked more than I ever hoped. You’re the man, Ty! Sincerely, LT Quinn Mallonee👍🇺🇸

After watching all of these guys sell their life collections for less than the cost of a compact car, I'm getting buried with my collection, LOL.

I can relate. I just pulled out my sports card collection after not looking at them for 25 years. I even created a YouTube channel devoted to my journey of delving back into the hobby.
