I've seen this programme twice now and hear and learn new things about Shakespeare and Hamlet each time. There must still surely be an audience for this kind of arts programming? Thank you for posting...

Huw Wheldon was an enormous influence at the BBC in the 1960s, driving the cultural programmes to high quality and quantity. There has not been anyone like him for decades. Now they think culture is Stephen Fry or Mark Gatiss or even Russell T. Davies.
