Cruella ended up being her mother if not worse in 101 and 102 Dalmatians.

You cannot deny genetics. The only person who valued her creations was her mother. The mother who threw her away but also gave her the gift that made her unique. You cannot deny destiny. She was destined to inherit the fortune and she did It.

I would hardly define Cruella as "reaching for the light." Remember, she would later go onto dognap a large number of puppies in hopes of skinning them and making them into fur coats. I might define this as following in her mother's footsteps, or a repetition compulsion caused by PTSD from the Dalmatian incident, or just becoming totally unhinged in later life. But "light?" I personally don't see it.

Then she became a villain in the 101 Dalmatian. We need a sequel of this first. Any sequel?
