  as a former K9 trainer, just go for a maninos, you wil never get another willing, trainable and more eager companion &nbsp;in the world.

  As someone who volunteers with search and rescue dogs, this episode hit so close to home. The description of Malinois navigating rubble and tracking survivors gave me goosebumps because it’s exactly what I’ve seen these incredible animals do in real life. Their bond with their handlers is something I wish everyone could witness—it&apos;s almost like watching two minds move as one. I’m glad you emphasized that the Belgian Malinois isn’t a casual family pet; the high drive and working-dog mentality are real and intense. But wow, when they’re in the right hands, they are absolutely breathtaking to watch. Animal Prime always tells these stories with so much respect and accuracy. Anyone else feel inspired to learn more about K9 training after this?

  Our Malinois Freya is the most incredible dog I have ever owned. &nbsp;It is 10000% true that this dog breed is NOT for the first time or even 5 th time dog owner. &nbsp;You MUST and I mean MUST have the land / space to let this breed run and train. &nbsp;We have a 2 acre front yard and she runs from corner to corner. &nbsp;If you don&apos;t have the space to let this breed run and play / train.....please do not get one. &nbsp;If you do, they are the most amazing animals you will come in contact with. &nbsp;I swear they can read your mind. &nbsp; Its incredible how smart they are, not even counting their extreme athleticism. &nbsp;Quite a handful if I dont say so myself. &nbsp;She brings my family tremendous happiness. &nbsp;Which is the most important thing.

  65 to 90 lbs isn&apos;t reasonable for soldiers who have to parachute with a dog and carry a dog into a war zone. The Malinois is lighter weight and isn&apos;t afraid of heights.

  I loved watching the Mali do what wasn&apos;t expected and take down the guy by going for his calf muscles instead of the elbow. He saw the man putting out his elbow and decided to do what was not anticipated. This is what makes them a Malinois. They are always trying to outsmart their opponent and they do this with record speed. They are not only physically fast. They are mentally fast as well and you will be surprised by what they do. This sets them apart. They have a goal in mind and they will reach their goal sometimes in their own creative, individualistic ways because they have figured out that their way is faster and more efficient so the calf bite when the guy had his elbow out. The man was going down that was the goal and that wasn&apos;t going to happen if the guy already knew the game plan with the elbow out so he adjusted and changed the game to win. That&apos;s a Mali. I watch my Mali and GSD playing and the Mali is always trying to outsmart my GSD and she&apos;s like laughing and loving every bit of the game. They have a great time together and he, meaning my Mali, keeps her on her toes. She makes it to under the picnic table when they play chase and he&apos;s on top of the table and tags her with his paw she&apos;s like no doesn&apos;t count, I made it under the table, lol. His opinion is he won. I love them, lol.

People see them on social media and think they’re just “cool fast dogs,” but your breakdown of the drive, training structure, and mental stimulation they need really highlights why they belong with experienced handlers. I loved the comparison with the German Shepherd, Dutch Shepherd, Rottweiler, and the incredible Kangal—it shows that every working dog has its own purpose. The Malinois just seems like the perfect storm of athleticism, intelligence, and focus. It’s wild how they can switch from explosive speed to calm, controlled precision in seconds.   My Malinois is me, in a dog version. I grew up with a Border Collie who died when I was 16y. I thought that this was the best and most intelligent breed until I got a Malinois puppy for my 17th birthday from my uncle. First day, Enzo already knew 4 commands perfectly, we even forgot he was a tiny puppy who needed to rest too. My sister and I played the entire day with him. Enzo is now 2y old. We run marathons together, he plays volleyball better than most of my friends, is an excellent skater, we take him snowboarding and skydiving several times a year. People call me crazy because I don’t put a muzzle on him while we skydive, him attached to me. I trust him more than anyone else. He feels every emotion I have, when I feel sad without showing it, he brings me his cuddle bear, when I am happy, I can see the smile on his face. If someone would have told me 3 years ago that I would have such a special bond with a dog, I wouldn’t believe it. This breed is just another level.

  The best focused dog has everything &nbsp;you want in a working / companion &nbsp;that is so loyal to me . SHE wants to please me at all times . BM greatest dog ever.

  I have a german shepherd and i have had a Rottweiler.. they are both loving family dogs ... protective without being aggressive if raised properly!!! They are wonderful !!!❤❤❤
