You know that this is the song "Ho Jamalo", what is its reality? Actually, during British rule, in Sukkur Central Jail, there was a prisoner named Ho Jamalo who was sentenced to death. At that time, the British government had built the Lansdowne Bridge. On one side, vehicles were to run, and on the other side, trains were to run. At that time, it was considered impossible to run a train over this bridge because the bridge was still incomplete and unstable. So, the British officials decided that someone should drive a train over the bridge, but no one was ready. Incidentally, Jamalo knew how to drive a train, so when the British officials found out, they told Jamalo that if he could drive the train over the bridge, his sentence would be commuted. Jamalo agreed. When the time came to drive the train, Jamalo's wife and people from the surrounding areas came to watch. When Jamalo drove the train, he succeeded in this test. Then his wife repeated these words: "Ji ko khati aayo kher saan ho jamalo" (meaning: "My heart is at peace, good news, Ho Jamalo"). From that day, this song became popular on everyone's lips.
