  In case you'd like to know, when Joseph Quinn auditioned for the role of Eddie, he was living in London and sent in an audition tape. The description of the character was "edgey but playful." He had done some fine work in England but said he was unable to break into the American market. He hadn't heard back from production for a number of weeks and figured he'd once again failed. But he was finally asked to do a reading (the cafeteria scene) via Skype, and again didn't hear anything back for a while. One day his agent called him up and said "Can I speak to Eddie please? He didn't understand what was going on. He said he replied "There's nobody here named Eddie." So his agent said I'm looking for Eddie Munson." Then the penny dropped. Joseph said " No way." The agent said "Yes way." Joseph said he was so excited he was running all over his flat. He couldn't believe it. After, he called his mum and told her he got the role. She was like "Oh, that's nice love. What's "Stranger Things"? 😂 She had no idea that her son was about to become an A list celebrity in the U.S. I just love that story.
