I love that this series is focused entirely on examining non-violent peaceful entities. There are plenty of horror trope backrooms monsters out there already, so this series has always felt extra special.

big fan of the line, "cut branches they are now spider-free". somebody absolutely didn't notice there was a spider on one of the sticks and freaked out

I love that it's specifically "a naturally shed flake." No leaf mimics were harmed during the making of this video.

love that every video since golbo has specified the piece of specimen was "naturally shed" or "died of natural causes" bc there was SUCH a backlash to golbo getting hurt. Golbo will be remembered forever! (golbo was literally fine)

Something I've been thoroughly enjoying about this whole series is the fact it all just feels gentle. Like yeah, of course, there are probably dangerous things in there. but we've just found Little Guys so far and I love that.

seeing how quickly the leaf mimic adapted to their environment, it is possible that the shift in behavior does not come from a shift in specie but rather from the mimics learning how to interact with humans

my personal head canon, is that the reason we know so little about all these entities, is because the researchers are simply unwilling to harm them

I was so ready for the leaf mimic to be either just a normal leaf or an absolute monstrosity that I got such a stupid smile on my face when I just saw it was just a gentle little dude you cannot imagine. I love this series and I love the gentle little critters you get, because honestly they are far more interesting than "big loud monster wants to big loud kill you", and I just know that if at any time you guys posted any kind of predator in the far planes, you would showcase it as an animal rather than an evil monster, and I love that.

I love that they just used a supply closet with a sappling and some sticks

I love that they specify the flake fell off naturally, ‘We found these lil guys and we don’t wanna hurt them so we found this tiny leaf flake that fell off naturally’

‘Also look we taught them tricks! :)’
