  My Father told me a story about the meanest man in his village. &nbsp;He owned and lived above his small store. &nbsp;Because he ran the store himself, and wasn&apos;t married, his whole life was in the store. &nbsp;He was always yelling at kids to stop reading the comic books on the stand, and accusing them of stealing candy. &nbsp;After getting yelled at for reading comics one day, my Dad complained to his Father about the store owner. &nbsp;My Grandfather, the High School Principal, sat him down and told him a secret. &nbsp;The store owner gave a full College Scholarship to one of the kids every year. He usually had four students going to College at a time. &nbsp;It was a secret that the store owner kept until he died.

  In life the celebrities love telling us how great they are, how generous they are. False virtue. So this woman did it privately, I bet that made her feel good. So in my eyes, she was a legend. 👍

  I&apos;d say it&apos;s actually pretty easy what to make of this: she was an absolutely awesome human being. Filthy rich, using it at least partially to help tons of others and not bragging about it in the slightest.

  I like Hetty. She&apos;s entitled to be as &quot;stingy&quot; as she wants, however she wasn&apos;t at all. She was a philanthropist and generous in her own circle.

  Taking her son to a free clinic and then not taking him to get medical care and his leg having to be amputated as a result? Out of cheapness? That’s sick. <br><br>This reminds me of narcissistic parents who give to charities to make themselves feel good while they’re kids are deprived of the most basic things. And then people applaud them for being generous.
