watching this horror movie (based on true events) was one of the most painful experiences of my life. i couldn't even watch the whole thing. there's a lot of mind control going on there.

I'll be glad when black producers film writers start making movies about African kings and queens

I just saw the movie last night. It really pissed me off many times during the movie. The scene towards the end when the singer is running away and a white officer stops him and sounds like some innocent 12 yr old (horrible acting!) And says "how could someone do something like this?" I'm like YOU! YOU COULD! AND YOU DO!! that disgusting white savior moment was a pound of salt in a very deep wound.

Thank you for the discussions on 'Tricknology'. I found it so insightful. I am tired of these films also. We have to write and tell our own stories

Good review fellas. I reviewed the movie as well and decoded a lot of the hidden messages in the film. I wish when it comes to our pain we could at least own the rights to it, ie. slave movies, riot movies etc. A movie like this that is  based off of  a true story is generational and it's sad that whites are still profiting off our suffering instead of us. Years from now it will be the  Mike Brown Ferguson movie.....SMH. PEACE -Know1edge

So  I have just completed my BA Honors Degree in Performing Arts. My main goal is to tell our stories through our lens & even go as far as rewriting some of the epic lying films such as Cleopatra (Liz Taylor & Richard Burton), and some of those Cowboys & Indian films Arrrrhhh . I would love to have you brothers on board to cover the phycology department, which I believe is a necessity for successful story telling especially amongst our community and our post trauma

Ok I &nbsp;really enjoyed this discussion. Just to clear a few points up though that was discussed. As far as &nbsp;the scene with the young girl in the window being killed by the national guard , that was a true event that happened during the riots. Her name was Tonia Blanding. You can google her name and find more infor about her. <br>Also.... interesting dialogue about the security guard because I definitely noticed the inconsistency in his story which when you look at the facts of the case was why he was interviewed after the algier murders because there was evidence he was complicit and his story did not add up. And even in SEVERAL articles from that time describe him as being on the side of the police yet in current interviews for the movie, he claims he was &quot; hurt&quot; that the police dept tried to pin the murders on him smh😒🤔 over all I thought the film was good for hollywood standards and did do a good job at portraying what happend minus a few missing details that cant be fit in a two hour movie, but the trickology &nbsp;was duly noted .I still would encourage people to watch it whether its trash or not to come up with their own conclusions on how to feel about it. While the men on this panel have more in depth knowledge of the Algiers Motel incident, a lot of millennials have never heard this story until now including me and its lead me to want to read the book and learn more so even crappy movies serve their purpose .

They also show these movies so to keep our fear of them intact.Tupac said there is war in the streets and war in the middle East. Also the police all over the world protects politicians, policies which all are corporations.Laws are made by local, state and federal corporations ;so-called Governments.
