Hi Jim! I was the Mel player from round 6! Huge apology again for that judge call when I forgot to remove my sideboard cards from my deck! Thanks for being a great opponent. And yes, if I knew Alan was still playing Mel I would have brought something different lol. Mel is in quite a bad spot but hopeful for the next set!

Nasus is super interesting - I've seen essentially 2 variants: The classic Heron lists that we all know, and a more tempo list with focus on Sprites, Tasty Faefolk, and scoring to 6 then winning with either empowered Nasus or Bellows + Watcher. The list will usually only trigger Nasus legend a couple times per game, but those 4 runes give you enough tempo to end the game. (It also can't run Heron + Zhonyas combo because it has anti-synergy with Sprites)

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuAMIBTu010&t=2021">33:41</a> The main reason for 2 instead of 3 copies of Thrill of the Hunt is because you usually only need to see 1 copy per game.<br><br>Saving one Thrill to save units like Rengar or Forerunner from a targeted removal effects like Star-Crossed, Falling Star, or Hidden Blade is usually enough to swing things pretty hard in your favor.<br><br>Having more than 1 is just reducing the amount of units you can get on the board early to start fighting over board control.<br><br>It's also one of the few cards in the deck that can be Defy'd and with Green being very popular with PG Yi, Akali, Vex, Azir, and Ornn all being good right now it's sometimes a risk to play at all as you'll just end up paying for nothing and still losing your unit.
