  Photosynthesis... the Rube-Goldberg machine of photochemistry. We can make food at ten to 100 times the efficiency of plant based photosynthesis by making solar hydrogen, first, and then synthesizing our way up the organic chain to simple sugars and proteins. Within 20-30 years we will be doing exactly that.

  You should get Dr Bugbee and Dr Paul Stamets together, $80 million greenhouse grant - with a bunch of fun farm equipment and role similar to Mythbusters, but their job is to create the most efficient and highest yield symbiotic greenhouse garden for  psychoactive substances like cannabis sativa plants and psilocyben fungi like banisteriopsis caapi vines and some 5-MEO toads creaking around.   This should be built next to a beach.
