My parents did the same .
Mam met John in emergency at the hospital. I think he'd been beaten up. He came home with her. My parents had 5 kids I was eldest about 11yrs old at the time with 4 younger siblings.
The family thought she was crazy. But he was a good lad ,got a job. Brought his girlfriends to be approved by my mam Finally married ,got his own place ,had a family and they are still friends to this day 50ys
later.

A lovely Dutch man took me in when I was 12 and raised me like I was his own child. He gave me the best life ever, took me to school up until my Masters. I will always be indebted and I'll always pay it forward.❤

I was taken in by a family in the 80s i kinda ended up being like an au pair, I was shown so much love in that home in Fulham, the man of the house noticed i loved listening to music and he had an outstanding record collection, there was also a beautiful 12string guitar in the living room that nobody played, when I was eventually leaving he offered me a loan of the guitar for 3 years to learn it. And true too his word 3yrs later he came to collect it at a gig I was playing in Ireland , he was like a proud father.. I was sad to see that guitar go however ive been a musician for 35 years since and have travelled far and wide playing music. One act of kindness changed my life. Im lucky as I have met a few people like that along the way. I always try pay it forward

I’ve just sat and wept watching this. I worked for Rob Parsons for almost 6 years and he is the real deal. A heart of gold and a man full of wisdom and integrity. One of the best storytellers there is. Divina, your heart was so open and receptive. What a wonderful hour in their company.

My Dad used to do this every Xmas to a homeless person back in the 70s when I was a kid, he would be friend a homeless guy and ask them if they had any family to go to at Xmas and if he didn't he would go and pick them up on Xmas day so they could have a proper Xmas day with a famaly and a good meal .. we never knew who thay where but it's a very proud memory of my late dad who sadly past away himself at age 47 in 1992 .. rip Michael Leggett (dad)

Bawling!!!! I too have a brain tumor from breast cancer metastasis. I live alone. It’s lonely. I’m so happy that Ronnie had a real family for so many years. I wish I had the same kind of family. Mine is divided. No one is close. Boy do I wish I had a support system like this!!! Bless this man and his family and I’m so glad I found this!! Humanity is NOT gone from this world.
