Such a grateful and humble man ... that honest response he gives near the end really does tell you how bad his situation was .

The barrister, prison officer and police who bought and comissioned John Myatt's work realised he was being used by the person who was selling the forged art as genuine, and was honest about what he did, and there was the Con Man Case Files programmes stated he was not earning the money the con man behind it was making.

He has skill as a painter but as a forger he is so far down on the scale its amazing he got away with what he did using house paint k w jelly I think even he was amazed he got away with what he did.
