A video showing a minor girl being harassed, groped, and assaulted alongside a male companion in Bihar's Jamui district has triggered nationwide outrage. The incident occurred when the two students were returning from a coaching class and were accosted by a group of men who filmed the harassment. Bihar Police announced that the prime accused, Nandan Yadav, along with another suspect, Hariram Yadav, was shot in the leg during a police encounter while attempting to evade arrest. Three other suspects were arrested earlier, bringing the total arrests to five out of seven identified men. The incident has also ignited a political debate over law and order in the state.
