  We appreciate the effort here, I think? but when you get all your information from unapproved sources on the internet, I guess this is what happens. So much misinformation here. The members listed for the first “lineup” are completely wrong, the first demo song titles are mostly wrong etc… There’s so much more here that’s not true, and/or misleading. <br>PS: we hate the label “sludge metal”.., we existed before that was a genre or a trend.

  They talk a lot about drugs and alcohol affecting the sound, but the unspoken ingredient is the New Orleans heat. Coastal Louisiana is a miserable, hot, wet place. The music they make is miserable, damp, foggy, smoky, and uncomfortable. Imagine writing metal songs inside a fog bank of a dying dog&apos;s panting breath: you would hate God too.

  Phil anselmo used to wear eyehategod shirts during pantera shows that’s how I know of them, southern discomfort is one if not best sludge riff of all time

  Its sad to see this video cause i know the guys personality and theres super nice dudes. The Music is depressing but us laughing in the back, crackin jokes and taking bong rips where actually amazing times. I really hope you see this thanks for covering these awesome dudes
