  I work at the cook out in Jonesborough TN, rather I did. But I can&apos;t anymore. Yesterday the power and water went out. But the boss wanted us to wait it out see what happens. Which I can understand. But even after the power came back on the water didn&apos;t. We could cook and serve meals but we still had no water. Do you know how many hours they made us wait before finally closing down early? 5 hours. 5 hours, no running water, 5 hours no working toilets, 5 hours no working sinks, 5 hours no way to wash our hands, 5 hours no way to clean our utensils 5 hours. Then when they finally did let us go home they made us scrape all the ice out of the ice machine, melt it down, and use that water to clean. But it took hours for each batch to melt down and even then there wasn&apos;t enough water to clean everything properly. And what&apos;s worst is that even now there&apos;s still no running water and the boss still wants us to come to work. I&apos;m not doing it. I&apos;m not working in a place where I can&apos;t be sure that my hands and utensils and the place itself is properly clean. Especially if we&apos;re going to serve someone else food. Some folks tried to discouraged me from this choice. But while money is important, it&apos;s not everything. So come Monday I&apos;m gonna start looking for a new job

  This is my FAVORITE Dhar Mann video yet! I had real tears in my eyes! My grandparents were teachers. My grandmother taught math and always went above and beyond to help her students. My grandparents both went out of their way to help others even outside of the classroom. So much happened in their lives as they got older. I can only imagine that had they been in this situation, the response would have been the same. Warmed my heart to watch this episode.
