  Friendly advise - if somehow, you're clueless how to properly eat a filipino meal, you can politely asks some locals to  give you proper way to eat the meal, they would happily help you. Enjoy and Have Fun in PH.

  Use the locals to ur advantage.  You are in the land of the most friendliest people on earth. Talk to the locals and don’t be afraid. Good luck and have fun. It’s more fun in the 🇵🇭

Stop pretending, stop assuming.... please! Filipinos are the kindest people in the world and would love to guide you on the most basic things.

  I’m a Filipino, and I want to thank you for showcasing the Philippines! Mang Inasal is one of my favorite restaurants in Manila. Just a quick tip—you ate it a bit differently from how we usually do it. The orange oil is actually chicken oil, and it’s meant to be mixed into the rice until it turns orange and flavorful.<br><br>As for the sauce, the black one is soy sauce. Pour it into the small container provided, add sliced chili, and squeeze in some calamansi (the small lime). That mix is the perfect dip for the Chicken Inasal. Enjoy!

  Inasal means grilled in Hiligaynon (ilonggo) language which is spoken in the central part of the Philippines. To get the full flavors of chicken inasal, you have to make your dipping sauce first. The dark sauce is soy sauce. The thing you call a kumquat is actually what we call Calamansi or Philippine lime. You squeeze the calamansi in the small saucer to get the juice and mix a small amount of soy sauce then mash some of the chilis depending on how spicy you want it to be. In other cases, spiced vinegar is also used instead of calamansi. You can adjust the amount and proportions according to your taste. The oil is chicken oil which is actually drippings from the grilled chicken and is normally drizzled on top of the rice then mixed. You then dip the chicken in the sauce and eat it together with the rice. Hope you can try it again :)
