  I believed Minato got perfect sage mode because Masashi didnt want him to have the frog-look-like-Jiraya😅

  Imagine if Minato used Sage Mode during the Nine Tails' attack. He would've sensed Obito's chakra and learned it was him who attacked Kushina.

  Minato is bad at gathering sage energy because it covers the plothole of him not using it in earlier battles. His version of Kurama gathers it for him thats why we see him using it with no issues in the war arc.

  It's crazy that Kishimoto didn't give Senjutsu to both Senju Bros. I mean it's in the name Senju-tsu and it gives an exponential boost to the "Physical Energy" similar to the Uchiha's Susanoo being the height of their Mental energy.

  I just assume that since he has a reanimated body, the mutations don't happen and he got the sage chakra from him being reanimated with a White Zetsu body giving him Hashirama's cells which seems to be their excuse for literally everything at this point in the story. Lol
