I've wanted to do this video for SOOO Long. This will be the first in a series. This one is all about setting up a head and a basic face. I'm gonna put up quite a few (hopefully) mini videos that don't have intro's/outro's that are gonna be straight and to the point. Moustache/beards, hair, noses, Eyes/Brows to help give folks tools to really dig in and start a caricature carving journey while still only using 1x1 blocks. It's basic, but it works and best of all.... IT'S FUN! I'll have this and Subsequent videos in their own Caricature Carving playlist on the playlist tab as i release them.

This carving is done on a 2.5 inch long piece of 1 inch by 1 inch basswood.

Want to help support the channel, and maybe get your name in the end credits of the new videos? Head over to Patreon, and you'll have my undying love and appreciation. Seriously!
https://www.patreon.com/johnnythelayton

New to woodcarving? -- https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5Y3iY4eMDYiCc0fZqROzEcg29A3igNOu
Tool Talk (Videos about Carving tools!) -- https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5Y3iY4eMDYgZfBZvutFOTBqd-8PVwGAg
Want some Carving Memes to Tickle your funny Bone? -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pUXAlZ3NRI&list=PL5Y3iY4eMDYj_0LY2H8Yh6ftr87c-zIXd&index=1

Thanks for stopping by!
https://linktr.ee/JohnnyTheLayton

Tools Used: Basswood 1x1 stock, carving knife, strop, and compound.
#Whittling #woodcarving #woodcarver #carticaturecarving #woodart #caricature

Man I like your videos. Very informative, relaxing and entertaining. Like watching a Bob Ross video, only with tattoos and woodcarving.the music in the background is a perfect level also.
