It's advisable for the PT to remain in the coalition with Morena and the PVEM: Ricardo Monreal ⚫“I hope they reconsider, that they talk to them, that agreements are reached, and that we maintain the electoral alliance to face 2027 together,” stated the coordinator of the Morena Parliamentary Group and president of the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo). Note No. 4339 https://comunicacionsocial.diputados.... San Lázaro Legislative Palace, September 24, 2026. – Deputy Ricardo Monreal Ávila, coordinator of the Morena Parliamentary Group and president of the Political Coordination Board, indicated that “it is advisable for the PT to remain in the coalition” with Morena and the PVEM. In a press conference, he stated: “I don't applaud or join the ranks of those who want a rupture. No. I believe it is indeed beneficial for them to join us. Without them, without this parliamentary group, just as with the absence of the Green Party, we wouldn't have achieved the supermajority needed for significant constitutional reforms. So, yes, they are indispensable. “The reform on dual nationality, the one two days ago, if the Labor Party (PT) hadn't joined us, we wouldn't have been able to pass it. The same applies in the Senate. If the PT doesn't support the constitutional reform as the reviewing chamber, it won't pass.” He asserted: “I'm practical, and I say: we need the PT.” I hope they reconsider, that they talk to them, that agreements are reached, and that we maintain the coalition, the electoral alliance, to face the 27th together.” Regarding the polls to designate the state coordinators for the Defense of Transformation and National Sovereignty, he noted: “I'm not involved, I don't conduct them, I have no say in the party's powers and functions, but I'm sure that President Ariadna (Montiel) and the president of elections, Citlalli Hernández, wouldn't allow any underhanded tactics.” “I know them; they are honorable women, women of principle, women who would not tolerate cheating or manipulation in the polling process. “I fully endorse their conduct, and I hope that all those who were not elected or selected through the poll can continue in the movement and help it succeed in 2027.” Monreal Ávila stated that the statement by Representative Reginaldo Sandoval Flores, coordinator of the PT Parliamentary Group, that this party could cause the coalition to lose 12 governorships in the 2027 elections, “must be respected.” “I understand that they are in constant contact with the party, specifically with Citlalli Hernández, and Representative Reginaldo Sandoval’s statement is respectable.” “I have no reason to disqualify her, but I can say that Morena will move forward united. Morena is very strong in the country. Morena will resolve the differences it has had until now. I am sure that Morena and its leadership, its members, will overcome this entanglement, this temporary disagreement we have regarding the selection of state coordinators.” He added: “I don’t believe that the PT will be able to influence the loss of 12 governorships; I don’t believe they have enough strength. I’m not minimizing or downplaying their position, but the people know very well that we must continue with the transformation process that President López Obrador began.” “I’m not minimizing what he said.” I would like us to walk together and not have to experiment with whether or not this exercise can be carried out, causing Morena to lose 12 governorships.” He maintained that “Morena’s unity will prevail, and we will achieve victories in the vast majority of the state governments up for election in 2027. “Therefore, unity is guaranteed, and the political strength of Morena and its allies is guaranteed. I would like the PT not to finalize a separation, a rupture. I would very much like the three parties of the coalition to walk together.” He said that, “in any case, it depends on the leadership and the negotiations currently underway. “I am completely removed from the party's decisions. I haven't intervened in any decision, and I won't. When Morena calls on me, within the legally established timeframe, I will contribute to helping those who were elected and selected as candidates for public office, to the best of my ability, in accordance with the Constitution and the law,” Monreal Ávila concluded. -oo0oo-
