Man on the moon advert was to draw attention to old people on their own over Christmas, by age concern. Most of the adverts have simular messages 👌

I used to work for John Lewis, on a beauty counter, and we got an exclusive viewing of the Christmas advert, the day before it was aired on TV. We were handed tissues and a glass of brandy as we were seated to watch it every year. On explaining to all our customers that afternnon, to why we were all red-eyed with runny mascara, it was simple. We just said. " Just seen this year's John Lewis Christmas ad, you'll love it." That was all the explanation needed. Thanks for a great year, you two...Merry Christmas to you both!

It's hard to believe that the Christmas truce actually happened, to pause the fighting and killing for five minutes to have a game of football is absolutely incredible
