I used to work for Sotheby's some years ago, people become numb to spending so much on items such as this. Keep in mind, this is more than likely an investment purchase and will rarely, if ever, gets worn out in public if at all.

He stopped the bidding at 17, should’ve kept going, they were willing. Holding these auctions in Hong Kong guarantees that the pieces will be bought by a Chinese collector.

I don’t have a problem with wealthy people owning these wonderful things.<br>If I had the means I’d be bidding too. I consider these jewels to be high art and just love knowing about them.<br>I always manage to find stunning pieces within my modest means.<br>I’m all about the pursuit of joy - wherever you find it‼️

Know most of Cartier's tutti frutti history. Essentially invented by a heiress to the Singer sewing machine fortune. Born as Duchesse Isabelle Decazes de Gluckberg, she was better know as acid-tongued socialite Daisy Fellows. So what's the history of the necklace? Was it one of her's?
