  The whole of Europe was not on the map. The eastern border of Europe runs through the Ural Mountains. Although Russia is often left off the map.

  The eastern borders of Europe are different from what was shown in the video, Turkey is part of Asia (only the western part of Istanbul and a portion of Thrace is Europe), European Russia reaches up to the Ural Mountains and continues along the Ural River to the North Caucasus.

  Iceland has always had TRILLIONS of midges though, and they&apos;re worse than mosquitoes in my opinion. Sure you won&apos;t get diseases but they just eat you alive.

  At the time the Liechtenstein army went to their mission in the mountains, this region was not in Italy. Italy did not even exist as a state of it&apos;s own at that time. So that was part of the County of Tirol.

  Since Ireland was missed, here’s a bonus fact: Ireland is home to Killary Harbour, which is often mistakenly claimed to be the only true fjord in Europe outside of Norway. While Iceland and Scotland definitely have them too, Killary is Ireland’s only true glacial fjord, a stunning 16km inlet on the Galway/Mayo border that is over 45m deep. Definitely belongs on a list of unique European geography!
