Amiral Cihat Yaycı’dan yeni uyarı: Kapanma Hürmüz’le kalmaz

As the crisis escalates in the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el Mandeb Strait, the heart of global trade and energy supply, the cost of shrinking trade routes is shaking the world. At the beginning of the map, the GZT presenter asks, and Retired Rear Admiral Prof. Dr. Cihat Yaycı, a faculty member at Topkapı University, explains the details. Cihat Yaycı assesses the impact on the world of the tension in the Strait of Hormuz, through which 20% of the world's oil passes, and the Bab el Mandeb Strait, vital arteries of global trade. Iran's demand for Yuan instead of dollars for passage through the Strait of Hormuz and its restrictions on countries supporting the US and Israel are dragging the entire world, especially China, Japan, South Korea, and European countries, into an economic crisis. The Houthi actions, which diverted the Suez Canal from its route and redirected ships to the Cape of Good Hope, increased freight costs fueling inflation, while rising oil prices are deeply affecting Trump and US domestic public opinion. Yaycı emphasizes that crises also bring great opportunities, noting that Türkiye's geopolitical and strategic importance has reached its peak during this period. The significance of the Middle Corridor connecting Asia and Europe, the Zangezur Corridor, and especially the Development Road project planned via Ovaköy are detailed on the map. The video examines Türkiye's powerful assets, controlling approximately 5% of the world's oil through energy pipelines such as the Turkish Straits and the Kirkuk-Yumurtalık and Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipelines. The video also details how the US and Israeli policies of creating chaos in the region have further highlighted Türkiye's strategic power and key country position. (The video concludes with a detailed explanation of how this is done.) 00:00 The Importance of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb in Global Trade 05:24 Iran's Transit Fee Move and Demand for Yuan Instead of Dollar 09:54 Bab el-Mandeb Crisis, Blocked Trade and Rising Costs 13:32 Opportunities Arising from the Crisis: Alternative Routes and Türkiye's Role 18:18 Energy Lines, the Straits and Türkiye's Growing Geopolitical Power Note: Our AI-generated voiceovers aim to emulate the original speaker but may not fully capture language nuances or intricacies despite our efforts for accuracy and quality.
